About Stonewall Construction

Stonewall Construction is owned by brothers Val and Dan Visca. Val and Dan come from a long line of home builders and contractors that started in new home construction over 50 years ago. Their father and uncles emmigrated from Italy and quickly became successful tradesmen, working as carpenters and masons. Val and Dan worked with their father, Pio Visca, from their early teens through college at RIT. They soon mastered the skills of carpentry.

Growing up in this environment, Dan and Val became acquainted with many fine contractors, some of whom they would later hire to help with the construction of their new homes. More importantly however; it taught them the value of quality workmanship and the price you pay when you don’t hire professionals. Stonewall Construction has built thousands of new homes and additions all over the Rochester area and they bring this experience to all the projects that come their way.

Managing a framing crew is hard work, but it is such an important phase of home building, and it gives you a personal knowledge of the structure that can never be attained from sitting in an office. “It means a lot to the customers and the subcontractors we hire when they see us working along side them. You get to deal with us directly, whether you’re hanging the drywall or buying the house.”
